Green Sea Turtle, Chelonia mydas, released after it was examined extensively, and then, a microchip transmitter was inserted into one of its flippers, a sonic transmitter was epoxied, and a number was inscribed and painted on its carapace (turtle shell), U.S. Marine Turtle Research, organized by researcher George Balazs PhD, NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA) students and teachers (NOAA/HPA Marine Turtle Program), and ReefTeach volunteers at Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, Kona Coast, Big Island, Hawaii, Pacific Ocean.
